Mr. Walton is Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from Savannah State University. Mr. Walton has over 15 years of clinical, operational, and academic experience in Social Work practice. Mr. Walton started his career as a special investigation case manager with the Department of Family and Children Services. In this role, he investigated child fatalities in the State of Georgia. Mr. Walton pivoted his career to pediatric Medical Social Worker at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) in the Emergency Department. While at CHOA, he became certified as a Forensic Interviewer where he collaborated with local law enforcement, FBI and GBI to assist in the investigation of child abuse and human sex trafficking. Mr. Walton furthered his clinical career by working as a Palliative Care Social Worker with the Department of Defense. Mr. Walton currently provides psychotherapy services with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss and LGBTQIA+ issues. 

Mr. Walton currently services as a Professor at the University of Georgia. He teaches Master of Social Work courses in child welfare, social work policy, medical social work practice and private practice with the LGBTGIA community. In 2022, Mr. Walton was awarded Teacher Of The Year from the University of Georgia.

Mr. Walton opened his consulting company Mr. LCSW in 2020. Mr. LCSW focuses on providing supervisory support to junior/provisionally level clinicians. Mr. LCSW currently supervises 16 clinicians that provide psychotherapy services to children, adults, and families in the metro Atlanta area.
